Raw Print Club will host the Nottingham Zine Fair on Saturday 28th May at the Hopkinson Gallery. From 11am-4pm the event will showcase the latest indie publications by arts students and zinesters from Nottingham and beyond.
The Nottingham Zine Fair will see the second year BA Fashion Communication and Promotion students (from NTU) selling their zines alongside established zinesters and creatives. A whole host of activities will run alongside the stalls: zine-making; badge-making; zine readings; discussion groups; live music.
University lecturer and graphic designer Matt Gill set up Raw Print Club in March 2011 alongside his live zine project with second year BA Fashion Communication and Promotion (FCP) students. Course representatives Julia O’Doherty and Alix Hope have been helping Gill to organise the fair, liaising with the zine community and promoting the event through posters and social media platforms. The zine fair has also been possible by the continued support of Kevin Hunt, Jo Lee and Bobby Sayers, along with the many offers of help from established zinesters and creatives across the country.
